Trusted · Quality · Designed to be fractional

Your business is a product. It needs different pieces at different times.

A complete product function isn't always possible. So we made it pluggable.

Twelve Pieces: strategy, delivery, quality, design, data, growth, build, funding. Plug in the one your function is missing, for as long as you need it. The 20-minute Diagnostic finds yours, free.

In short

Product Pieces is a UK fractional product agency founded by Alex Feltwell. It runs a free 20-minute Diagnostic to find the missing piece in your product function, then plugs in senior product talent — eight fixed-scope Set Pieces from £3,500 and ongoing Pieces from £2,000 a month — across CPO, PM, PO, Quality, Coaching and UX in-house, plus partner-delivered Engineering, Brand, Research, Data, GTM and Fundraising.

For whom

Startup. Ambitious SME. Enterprise. Same diagnostic.

Three audiences. One method. Each buys a different piece for a different reason. The Diagnostic finds yours.

01 · For startups
You're the CEO and the CPO and the head of marketing.
Pre-product to MVP, with the next raise on the horizon. You don't need a full-time CPO — you need a senior call on the bet, the build, and the runway. Prove it cheaply before you fund it. Equity-friendly when cash is tight.

02 · For ambitious SMEs
The business runs. The product side is where you're guessing.
An established, revenue-funded business going further with product: a first build, a platform, a digital line. You're spending your own money, so the job is to prove what's worth building before you commit six figures to it.

Fractional partners

The fractional bench you can plug in.

Two of the twelve Pieces — engineering and brand — run through named partners rather than our in-house bench. And when a growing business needs more than product, the same vetted bench reaches into the functions around it: sales, marketing, people, finance, fundraising, delivery, app growth and lead generation. Stand up any discipline the moment you need it, and stand it down when you don't.

Why the work lands

Senior from day one. Regulated track record. One owner.

No graduates on the work, no junior hand-off after the pitch. Every Piece is led by someone who has already done the job at a senior level somewhere it mattered. However many Pieces are in play, one accountable owner carries the whole engagement.

When the buyer is a Head of Product, a CTO, or a procurement team, the questions change. Here's how we answer them.

Why we exist

Every product team deserves the same senior thinking the funded few can buy.

A startup deserves a CPO-quality call. An ambitious SME deserves PMs who've done it before. An enterprise deserves a function that can flex. Right now, none of those are easy to get. Product Pieces exists to fix that.

Why. Senior product talent is the most expensive lottery in business. The funded few hire it. Everyone else goes without. Not for lack of need, but because they can't justify the headcount. That asymmetry is what we were built to fix.

How. Senior product muscle, priced the way modern teams buy software. Free Diagnostic in twenty minutes. Eight fixed-scope Set Pieces. Twelve ongoing Pieces: six in-house, six through specialist partner studios. Equity-friendly when cash is tight and upside is real. One throat to choke. Senior judgment at every tier.

What. A small, vetted in-house bench. A network of specialist partner studios — Atomise for engineering (37 staff, #1 UK Company on the Clutch 100, 2025), plus partners across Brand, Research, Data and GTM. Every engagement clears the same bar a Toptal Top 3% does. Led by founder Alex Feltwell — twenty years in regulated platforms and consumer marketplaces, including the £10m Fidelity programme at Bravura (1m+ accounts, UK's largest wealth migration). We built Product Pieces because senior product work shouldn't only be available to teams that can afford to keep someone on retainer.

Common questions

Eight things buyers ask. Eight straight answers.

If yours isn't here, take the Diagnostic anyway. The answer usually falls out of the conversation.

01

What is Product Pieces?

Product Pieces is a fractional product agency. We diagnose your product function, identify the piece you're missing, and plug in senior product talent, sized to your stage. Twelve Pieces total: CPO, PM, PO, Quality, Coaching, UX, Brand, Research, Data, GTM, Engineering and Fundraising.

02

How do I actually work with you?

Three commitment tiers. Start with the free 20-minute Diagnostic. Then choose a Set Piece (fixed scope, fixed price, 1–12 weeks) or an ongoing Piece (embedded, project, interim, or advisory). You always know exactly what you're buying before you commit.

03

How is this different from hiring a fractional CPO directly?

Three differences. Productised: every tier is fixed-scope and named; no "let us scope you" theatre. Whole-function: we cover all twelve Pieces of a product function, not just CPO. Equity-friendly: portion-of-fees-as-equity available on qualifying engagements where the cash isn't there yet and the upside is real.

04

Who actually delivers the work?

Six Core Pieces (CPO, PM, PO, Quality, Coaching, UX) are delivered by Product Pieces' in-house bench: small, deliberately vetted, every person with the track record and judgment to be in the work day one. Six Partner Pieces are delivered through named partners (Atomise for Engineering, CGL Agency for Brand) plus a vetted network of specialist studios for Research, Data, GTM and Fundraising. One throat to choke, every time.

05

What does it cost?

The Diagnostic is always free. Set Pieces are fixed-price and named upfront. From £3,500 (The Sanity Check) through to £18,000 (The MVP). Ongoing Pieces start from £2,000 per month, with senior day rates ranging £950–£2,000 depending on the seat. Equity-friendly engagements available on qualifying CPO, PM and Coaching mandates of three months or longer — up to 40% of fees converted to equity at the last priced round, agreed upfront.

06

Who is Product Pieces for?

Three audiences. Startups (pre-product to MVP): a senior call on the bet, build and runway, without a full-time hire. Ambitious SMEs (established, revenue-funded, going further with product): prove what's worth building before committing six figures, and level up the team you've got. Enterprise: interim cover during executive search, specialist depth in regulated platforms, coaching for the next generation of PMs.

07

What's the Diagnostic?

A free 20-minute online diagnostic. Four sharp questions: where it hurts, what you have, urgency, contact. Output is a one-page assessment of which Pieces you're missing and the recommended Set Piece to start with. No obligation, no follow-up drip, no agenda. Take it →

08

Who's behind Product Pieces?

Founded by Alex Feltwell. Twenty years building product in regulated platforms and consumer marketplaces, including the £10m/year Fidelity programme at Bravura (1m+ accounts migrated, the UK's largest wealth migration). Founder of Atomise (named #1 UK Company on the Clutch 100 in 2025). Currently fractional CPO at two US consumer products. Full credentials in the About section ↓
